Personalize your account settings
Your Loom account is your digital workspace, and personalizing it can make your experience smoother and more enjoyable. Personalizing your settings also helps your colleagues recognize you easily, making collaboration more efficient. Account settings you can customize include:
- Profile picture and display name to help others identify you quickly
- Email and password to keep your contact details up-to-date and your account secure
- Connected accounts to connect and disconnect your Slack and Google accounts
To update your personal account settings:
- From your Loom dashboard, click on Settings in the left-hand sidebar and click Personal.
- Navigate to the My account tab and update necessary settings.

Configure your notifications
Loom notifications are delivered in real-time so you always know when someone interacts with your video. By customizing your notifications, you can stay updated on what matters most to you. Notifications can be sent when someone first views your video, comments, mentions you in a comment, and more.
All Loom notifications will go into the Notifications icon at the top of the page, in addition to an email notification. To make sure you don’t miss anything important, you can also choose to receive push notifications on your desktop, mobile device, or in Slack.
To customize your notifications:
- From your Loom dashboard, click on Settings in the left-hand sidebar and click Personal.
- Navigate to the Push notifications tab.
- If you haven’t enabled push notifications yet, click the Allow push notifications button in the purple panel at the top of the tab.
- Toggle notifications on or off based on your preferences.

Seamlessly integrate Loom with other tools
Integrations allow you to connect Loom with other tools you use daily, streamlining your workflow and making it easier to manage your videos.
With Loom's link expanding feature, copying and pasting a Loom video link into supported platforms like Jira, Gmail, or Slack will automatically pull in the Loom embed player. This allows you to watch the video inline without having to leave the context of the conversation or the tool you’re in.
👉 For example: Claire connects Loom with Slack to easily share video updates with her team. When she posts a Loom link in a Slack channel, the link expands to show a video preview, catching her team's attention immediately. They can even play the video directly in Slack!

For link expanding to work, you must have the Loom Chrome extension installed. By having this installed, you unlock the ability for the Chrome Extension to recognize Loom links and turn them into the embedded video player.
Loom integrates with more than 15 different platforms to enable a seamless experience, making video sharing more efficient and visually engaging.
To customize your integrations:
- From your Loom dashboard, click on Settings in the left-hand sidebar and click Personal.
- Navigate to the Integrations tab.
- Toggle each integration on or off.
